Small Birds

Common Tailorbird
Nikon D7000 + Tamron 70-300 VC. Settings : 270mm, f5.6, ISO200 , 1/320th

Its a small bird with bright colours , perching from bush to bush. Olive green upperparts and creamy under parts , it has a  rusty colour on head. Popular for its nest made of leaves "sewn" together, as name suggests.

  • Its a sparrow like bright yellow bird.

  • Weaves its nest by picking up long grass leaves  picked from the surroundings.


Red Vented BulBul

  • It has a black coloured crest and head, scaly brown body with red coloured vent.

 Barn Swallow

Its a small bird likes to be in air all the time. Brown head,blue black body with long forked tail and short beak.

Its a small round bird . Male is black with white spots, short beak. Female is brown in colour.
